Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Plantations and Power & Energy sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU), which rose 12.50% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) added 11.14% or 3.80 points to end at 37.90 and Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) was up 9.31% or 6.70 points to 78.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH), which fell 11.11% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.800 at the close. Hapugastenne Plantations PLC (CM:HAPU) declined 7.89% or 2.70 points to end at 31.50 and Capital Alliance Finance PLC (CM:CAFL) was down 7.25% or 2.00 points to 25.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 99 to 55 and 62 ended unchanged.

Shares in PCH Holdings PLC (CM:PCHH) fell to 3-years lows; losing 11.11% or 0.100 to 0.800.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.09% or 0.05 to $57.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.25% or 0.16 to hit $64.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.71 to trade at $1276.89 a troy ounce.

GBP/LKR was down 0.13% to 201.580, while USD/LKR fell 0.15% to 153.360.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 94.99.
